About

Karis House Community Counseling Center is a multilevel network of care and counseling. In other words, we are a counseling center that includes professional and non-professional counselors dedicated to providing help to our church and immediate community.  As a church-based counseling center, our main distinctives include the following:

Our values include the following:

  1. TRUTH – We believe that God’s truth, as revealed in the Bible and specifically in Jesus Christ, relates to your life and problems. We will work with you to understand and apply that truth in an environment of grace.
  2. COMMUNITY – We believe that men/women were created to have a relationship with God and with each other; the majority of our problems as humans relate to the breakdown that we experience in relationships. We will work with you to connect with others as well as God.
  3. WORSHIP – We believe humans were all created to worship; many problems we struggle with are related to worshipping things that are not God – a person, a relationship, wealth and power, etc. We will help you to identify your misplaced worship and transfer that to worshipping the God of the universe.
  4. BEAUTY – We believe that men and women have been created in God’s image and as a result are beautiful, but sin has distorted that image; according to Francis Schaeffer we are a “glorious ruin”. We will work with you in understanding your value in God’s sight and in the steps to being restored to reflecting his glory.
  5. MISSION – We believe that we were all put on this Earth for a purpose, and that God is working in and through his people to redeem the world through Christ. We will work with you to discover what you were created to do and help you to be on mission with what God is doing in this world.
