What You Should Know About Me
Before coming to Karis House, I spent 9 years working with children and adolescents who were at risk for or experienced abuse or neglect and children and adolescents diagnosed w/mental illness and their families. Since being at Karis House in the Fall of 2011, I have been able to purse my passion– counseling women struggling with depression and anxiety, those wrestling with their personal and spiritual identities, and those longing to make sense of their past. I find it a privilege to walk alongside people that are wrestling with their identity and the heaviness and anxieties of life and who are longing, but also struggling, just as I do, to find their identity and hope in Christ.
I am married to my husband, Eric. He is a good man with much wisdom, love and much patience. I am also privileged to be the mother of Lily and Will. While they keep me on my toes and seeking both patience and wisdom from God, they also keep me laughing. We attend church at The Journey's Tower Grove campus.
Why are you apart of Karis House?
I love working at Karis House and feel so grateful to get to work alongside and learn from the other counselors. I love that grace, found in Jesus' work on our behalf, is the foundation of our counseling as well as the staff relationships. I also love that we all support each other towards continued growth in the field of counseling.
