What You Should Know About Me

We were made for secure relationships with God and one another. But our daily experience in the world proves that things aren't the way they ought to be. We're damaged goods and we've done a lot of damaging of our own. But the Father hasn't given up on us. In fact, he's inviting us back to Himself and His people to be known in authentic relationship.

That's why I wholeheartedly believe in the power of the counseling relationship. My hope is that the safety we create together will provide a space where you can be known, rejoice in what is beautiful, grieve that which is broken in your story, heal from past or present trauma and re-enter your world of relationships in a healthy way. Ultimately, my desire is that you tangibly experience the steadfast love that God has for you, not despite your story, but because of the story He is writing for you.

I have 3 years of experience in college ministry and I currently volunteer for a group-counseling ministry in St. Louis that focuses on sexual addiction.

I enjoy working with my hands, whether I'm making furniture or brewing a delicious cup of coffee. Some of my favorite things to do in St. Louis are riding my bike around Forest Park, sitting in Shakespeare Glen on a summer night or eating fried tacos at Las Chavas in Soulard.

My college sweetheart and I have been married now for 4 years. It's been through my daily experience of her kindness and forbearance that I've changed into the man (and the counselor) that I am today. We love going on walks together around our neighborhood and filling our dining room with friends, delicious food and big belly laughs.

We have a baby on the way! Due in November 2018.

Why are you apart of Karis House?

I'm honored to be a part of the Karis House team. I love this place because of the people I get to learn from who love the Lord and desire to see the goodness of His kingdom spread into the city of St. Louis.
